ParticipantI’ve got a ZJD1291 (washer-dryer) and the symptoms are that only the on/off switch and its light are working, no display, nothing – dead!
I’ve whipped the module out, it’s blown, and as far as I can establish the likely culprit is the door interlock? In as much as one of the 4 wires from the interlock go to the board where the connector and track have blown. Also part of the centre of the board has blown too. 😕
My question therefore is :
Do faulty door interlocks blow these boards as a rule? Has someone had the same fault and replaced both to cure the problem?
The reason for my diagnostic caution is that the job is 25 miles from base, the parts are very costly and combined labour/travelling cost will take up a good 3 more hours to sort – hence I need to be sure. Failing that tell her to scrap it (although it is just 17 months old 😯 )
Any advice much appreciated. 😀

rang lusx customer care 08705 727727
if machine is under 2 years
they will either go 50/50 on repair cost or give money off a new machinechoice is dependant on parts cost i think in this case will be money off new one but it must be their engineers who go out

Cheers for that Dave, I’ve phoned my customer and she’s now going to ring them to get it sorted…cheers mate! 😀
Still would like to know if interlock failure causes these module to blow though? 😕

Is that the front mounted module in a grey plastic split housing?? if so, yep, interlock shorting often pops the board, solenoid interlocks on Zans seem pretty suspect generally.

Thanks for that reassurance at least. The module sits front top r/h/side in a white split plastic case in fact not grey. 🙂
