    Model Number: ZWD16270W1

    Symptoms:
Issue with Zanussi washing machine missing parts of fixed programs. A 50 degree wash works correctly however a 40 degree wash is not rinsing, using the fabric softener or spinning. When the 40 program finishes the contents are still very wet and full of detergent. It is necessary to put the washing through a cotton wash to try and finish it to an acceptable level. Up till now there has been no issues with the machine with it only being used on the 40 and 50 wash.
I opened the top and noticed that all components are controlled from the main circuit board behind the front facia. Given that the machine is working correctly with the 50 wash, this implies all elements are working correctly. The problem from the symptoms being experienced appears to be the main control board, is this likely to be the case?

All sorts of weird programme faults often are caused by the dryer heating element having an earth leak. So if you were to safely isolate the wires that connect to that element (having first carefully noting their respective positions), then try a 40 degree wash cycle it might just behave normally.

It is unlikely to be a fault with the main programme board. If that were the case all programmes would suffer more often than not.
