zanussi oven temp light on constantly

ZOB35301 XK temp light is always on but then strangly goes out as soon as you turn it on but seems to be working ok, any thoughts?

basically ignor it

its a neon. you know from neon screw drivers where the current to light the neon goes down your arm that they need so little current to light that you can almost light them in the air. yes there will be a voltage high enough to strike the tube but that’s all

its just a bit of leakage current ( 2 or 3 mA )

as you turn it on you give it solid lives and neutrals to work on. its likely the light will be brighter but will work ok

but the light goes out soon as you turn it on but still heats?

yes it stays out when heating

ok I would check where it is connected to make sure the wires for the neon are in the right place

let me have the complete pnc number and I will see if I can find a diag
