The timer on the Zanussi oven is not working properly. When the dial is in the “hand” manual mode, the oven works properly. But when say I cook a roast and set the timer for 45 minutes, the oven cuts out when it hits 15 minutes. Any ideas what is happening?

Sounds like a faulty timer but without a model and/or PNC number it’s not possible to look it up.

It is very unusual for a mechanical timer to cause a fault like that, possible I suppose but not common.

Does it cut out at all when in the manual as, if it does then the timer won’t be the problem? If however it’s fine on manual, as unusual as it is, I can’t think on it being much else other than the timer looking at the layout of that oven.
