Zanussi oven ZOB35301BK Limiter

Hi,

I’ve got a customer with Zanussi oven Product no 949716704 and the limiter has gone open circuit.
Its a long story, but 18 months ago she had the same oven swapped for the limiters going. They swapped the cooling fan saying that it was running too slow, but it still kept going. Originally cutting out and then coming back on when the limiter had cooled.
Zanussi swapped the machine for the identical one and its now happened again.

Is this a common problem, that anybody has come across. Do you know what temperature this limiter is. I places a red spot Bosch in there to test and it cut out after being on for 10 mins.
Original one has been ordered, it has changed from screw thread fixing to the usual screw thread, i notice.

Any help is appreciated as usual.

There is a service bulletin out on this problem. The correct stat is a black spot pt no :8071955010. The insulation surrounding it should have no gaps whatsoever as the residual heat from the uninsulated liner causes premature tripping. Ensure too that the rear insulation doesn’t block the air vent below the oven cavity.

Just out of interest does anybody know what temperature the black and the blue spots are on these machines.

The black spot is 195/165T 🙂

I don’t have the part number of the blue spot to get that info. 😉
