Zanussi pausing mid cycle

Hi

I have a Zanussi ZWX1606W washing machine which is freezing during the first wash cycle after aprrox 10 mins. When I hold the start and skip buttons to get the code the start light flashes twice and the end light flashes five times (first two times with the start light.

The water doesn’t appear to be heating up but I’ve checked the heater element and am getting 29 ohms and it has not gone to earth.

Can anyone shed any light on what the error code could mean?

Zanussi pausing mid cycle

The end light represents the first digit, the start the second. Therefore:

Error code 52 = No signal from the tacho generator, PCB faulty or motor faulty.
