Zanussi problem

I wonder can anyone help me, my dishwasher stopped working a few weeks ago (zanussi de 6850). When you press the control buttons nothing happens but if you press two together a light will come on but then go off when you let go. I left it for a couple of weeks unplugged then tried it and it actually worked once but then went back to the way it was.
I know some of these were withdrawn a while back as fire hazards due to an electrical fault – this made me nervous.
Any ideas.

Hmmmm, I don’t think it is related, the Zanussi DE6850 (and DE6855)were recalled due to an electrical fault.
