Zanussi start button

FLE 1216w tipped machine against wall fitted door gasket,
Now wont start when i press start button, all the other buttons and lights are ok
door locks,
tightened connections between boards
I have not had this fault before,
Any ideas

I would check all plugs, also check motor brushes and check the motor for condensation. Fault could be just a coincidence. Door locks can give problems. Make sure you didn’t dislodge plug on interlock when you had your hands in there.

My guess is that the door interlock plug isn’t located correctly and that only 3 of the 4 contacts is making? Give the 4 way plug a wiggle? 😉

Changed door lock, still the same.
I most have causd it, but how ?

check that the start button is actually working i.e. the board and button are makihg contact like the fault you sometimes get on the zanussi dryer where the diffiser breaks and the button fails to contact the switch

check the button by taking board off, it was ok

Get your Megger out and do some fault finding. heater,Motor etc you will find something down to earth.

Thanks for all the advice i will go back with the megger and give it a good check over

Went back to machine and mysteriously now working fine thanks alot everyone for the advice we will see what happens 😀
