Our tumble dryer has developed a fault where it takes multiple attempts opening and closing the door and restarting it before it starts to tumble. Sometimes it comes on after two or three tries, sometimes it’s twenty or thirty! The heater comes on, it’s just the drum that isn’t turning. When it finally does start it works fine. I wondered if it was a belt problem so in between attempts I turn the drum back and forth a couple of times. No idea if this is having an effect (good or bad!). Any suggestions? Thanks 🙂
Cheers Dave. I’ll try that. Is it obvious that one of these caps has failed when you look at it?I just replaced a failed wet cap on a studio monitor and that had obviously blown as the top was bulging.
you cannot tell if these caps have failed. its a suck and see job. most likely it has but could always be the motor
I would say there is about an 85{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} chance its the cap but cant promise I am right
