Zanussi TC470 condenser drier – not drying

Hi,

My dad’s TC470 has decided to stop drying. The drum turns fine. Is this likely to be a thermostat / capacitor on the blink and an easy fix (like my old Hoover which was a 10 minute job)?
How easy to diagnose – will a decent multimeter be enough for the job?
What should I look out for on these when they stop drying?

is there any heat at all?

first place to start, would be the exhaust stat

which is on the front exhaust, open the door, and its in the 12 oclock position
