    Hello all,

Our condenser tumble dryer (Zanussi TC7102W) has started tripping the RCD on our fuse board. It does this immediately the dial is turned from the stop position to any time setting, but without pressing the start button.

Can anyone offer any advice on a possible cause? We can ill afford a replacement right now so hopefully I can buy spares and attempt a repair myself, but hopefully someone can help with diagnosis.

    Thank you in advance.

The likely suspect is the heating element. So power unplugged and test with a meter the way forward. A good grasp of electrical knowledge essential obviously….good luck!

    Thanks Martin.

Is this still true given the start button wasn’t pressed and therefore the it never got as far as turning and/or heating the drum?

Fair enough! I’ll get the meter out. Is the back panel likely to give me access or is that very model specific? Many thanks.

Good place to start….be sure to unplug first. :zap:
