Zanussi TC7103w 916093530 Wont start

I called to this on Monday, the machine wouldn’t tumble, after removing the lid and giving the drum a little push away it went but was making a right racket. I open the machine up to find the front and rear fans completely knackered. I told the customer she would need two new fans and a capacitor.

And so I returned today armed with fans and capacitor, fitted the parts and plugged the machine in, turned to the customer and said ‘this should sound a bit better’ pressed the start button and nothing 😳

So now I have a machine that wont start at all. I checked the motor plug and I am getting live readings at all three terminals, I reckon at least one should be neutral, 2 of the wires run back to the timer and 1 to the start switch. One of the other wires from the start switch runs to the relay on the door lock, and although when the start button is pressed I get a live to the relay, the relay is not doing anything.

Has anybody had any experience with these dryers, would you say a new door lock is required or is there something else I should be looking at?

Looking at the drawings it appears that this machine has a switch called a box switch located at the front near the steam exchanger. This switch is on the neutral line before the door lock & start solenoid – worth a check & the flap and steam exchanger

Just gotten back to this one, as the customer has been away on holiday, turned out it was the box switch, switch was fine but the part of the door that strikes it was damaged.
