Zanussi TD4112W No heat but everything else ok

Hi, i have a zanussi TD4112w that appears to be working perfectly normal except that it does not generate any heat – do i assume it to be the heating element that needs replacing or could it be anything else – like a faulty cool switch or thermostat

Could be any of those really. Unplug before investigating though.

ok thanks for that – any pointers about how to isolate which part is faulty

You’ll need a test meter and the basic skill to perform resistance testing through the various components and circuits. The thermostats should read 0 ohms as they should all be normally closed. The heater should show 25-30 ohms, typically.

Power off, of course.
