Still alive and avoiding repairing products as much as possible, in fact totally! However, daughter’s tumble dryer. Anyone got a wiring diagram or familiar with heating issues on a TD4213 pnc- 916-093-326/03. No heat, element and attached stats test OK, I’m thinking there’s another stat in the front ducting? If so is this a common failure?

open the door and above the door inside the drum is a cover held on with 2 screws. you can access and remove the stat and test

Used to, moved to Grotton then Greenfield now nearer home for reasons best not discussed on here.

What a performance to gain access to that stat. Upside down with a mirror, confirmed open circuit and about to order. Wiring disappeared inside as was tight as a banjo string, will hook it out on my return, if not drum out; after all got plenty of time.

This year it’s been 10 years since retirement, don’t bloody miss it at all; plus the way Service force has gone looks like I dodged the bullet.

Hope you’re well Jim. What about Martin another old stager, does he come in from time to time?

Hi Alex, I retired fully just over 4 years ago at the young age of 70. Must admit I don’t miss it at all. Still playing squash or racketball 2 or 3 times a week. Season ticket at Man United and full member at Lancashire cricket club, large gardens with lots of vegetable beds and granddaughter also keep me very busy. Martin did pop his head over the fence a few months back but is rarely seen these days. Did loads of those stats, a bit of a fiddle but never managed to lose the wiring.;)

    hi Alex

lift the lid and stat is plugged into a multi connecter

you may be able to unplug it and gain a bit of wire

never had to turn it upside down thats a new approach lol

Didn’t attempt to turn the dryer upside-down, that was me trying to look up and see everything inverted thanks to the mirror. Relaxing the loom makes sense though.
