First time I have had to soil my hands on one of these beasts.
Customer said it was totally dead.
Switched on and several of the programme lights lit up, pressed start and pump was heard to run and main motor for 15 or 20 seconds then it went dead, all lights out.
Tried to get it to run a test sequence/ diagnostics.
Got the very first step of the test sequence with all of the lights flashing on individually in sequence but when I pressed button 2 to step to the next part of the test sequence it just started to beep continuously and do nothing else. The first 8 steps of the test sequence were the same, just beeping. On the last two steps of the test sequence it stopped beeping but did nothing else.
Because of this I was unable to get it to display any error codes. 🙁
Switched it off and then tried to reset it to another programme but could get no lights to come on at all.
Left for a few minutes and it was possible to get it back into test sequence with the same results.
Main motor, pump, heater and fill valves all check out electrically.
Any suggestions?
Jim.

Hi Jim.. I had this on a different Zan T/D not so long ago… It turned out to be a capacitor on the circuit board not allowing one of the relays to oporate.
Hope that helps

This is one of those awful top loading, French made washing machines George. 😉

But it does sound as though it may be a capactor failing on the board as George said, what with it going dead then waking up again once you switch it off.

Went back to this machine this afternoon.
Facia PCB is dead easy to get at but showed no obvious signs of damage.
The main PCB is a real pig to get out ( but I managed ) 😀
That also looked in perfect condition.
Put it all back together, pinching up the smaller connectors as I went along, plugged in, switched on….well I think you can guess the rest. 😉
Jim.
