I have an old Zanussi vent type tumble drier that has stopped heating and drying the clothes. It still tumbles okay but when you stick your hand in the drum after a while the air inside is cold. I’ve had the top off and can see some heating type elements at the back that don’t appear to be producing any heat. The machine is quite old but if it was reasonably cheap to change some parts over to get it working, financially right now that would probably suit me better. By reasonably cheap I mean less that £40-50.

The details are Zanussi Model TDS383W, type P510212. Product No. 916092000 and Serial No. 10200554.

The classic fault on these machines was the thermostat wiring burning out on the heating element. The correct repair is to replace the heater/thermostat assembly. P/no is 1254199-21/7, an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk to for confirmed prices and ordering.

Power off if you wish to investigate further; failing that check repairs@ or Directories for a UKW repaire in your area.
