The machine console panel does not light. Will not start etc.
We have checked 240 volts to machine OK.
Looks like a PCB fault. We have had problems with dryer elements. But they check OK
Has anyone had this fault?
Customer did have it on tumble dry when it went off.
Two possibilities, either the door interlock connections have burnt out or the main power board has failed. But that’s not to overlook the fact it failed during the drying process and therefore the dryer PCB or that darned dryer heater has something to do with it? 😕
disconnect all the wires to the from pcb apart from the mains.
if it lights when you turn it on then it may be external
if it does not light then the only fault you can cure on the pcb power supply. open the board and look for the chip and look for a blown low ohm resistor normally 50 to 100 ohms
Low resistance on dryer heating element causes the p.c.b to go blank on these sometimes, disconnect cables off element & tape up safely and securely, test to see if it powers up ok with dryer elements out of circuit.
