Hi.
Can anyone explain why the timer might quickly advance to the end of the program on this machine. There is nothing on the TDS disk to indicate this machine does advance to the end when it discovers a fault and I have never seen a Zanussi do this before.
It’s intermittent but did do it while I was watching.
Set to D program. Machine fills for a couple of seconds then clicks right the way round the cycle to the end. ( The dryer fan seemed to run for several seconds in the middle of the cycle as well).
Tried it again and run as normal.Third time of trying it again skipped the program.
The motor is fine, pump is a bit noisy but functioning.
I have checked for earth faults, brushes ok. I’m guessing that it might be the pressure system at fault and I am going back tomorrow for a further investigation..
It’s got me stumped and any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks
Bob

A coin in the return pipe to the pump (the 1 by the stats)
Hope this helps

An interesting fault. Why would a blocked pump cause the timer to advance to the end????

This totally threw me.
When the circulation motor starts it puts a negative pressure on the second pressure switch system that confuses the processor and sends it into a safety protection mode. ie advance to end…

out of interest, the timer will also advance if there is a problem with the motor tacho (loose magnet usually). i think all the models with the L shaped module do that.

That was my first thoughts with this one.
Strange that there is nothing on the TDS disk about error detection!
