Zanussi washer dryer ZWD12270W FAULT

Hi

Got a Zanussi washer dryer ZWD12270W stuck on a fault after doing the following:

Started cycle, completed main wash, drains, wouldn’t move onto rinses/spins but start/pause button flashed, door clicked open.

Tried selecting another programme: display shows correct time, programme starts for 5 secs, display flashes ‘000’ then back to correct time and door clicks open. This now happens every time when attempting a wash cycle, including drain and spin, but the machine will perform a drying programme no problem.

No fault code displayed – does the diagnostic set up on page 76 of the fault code guide work on this machine?

If anyone has any ideas on how to fix the problem let me know.

Have you checked both wash and dry heaters? Any earth leak there will give that same symptom.:wink:

Even such a small earth leak as 40 megohms. Try m/c with dryer element disconnected to confirm.
Further thought though, door doesn’t usually click open in these cases, IIRC. Worth checking recirculation pump if present, if above doesn’t sort it.
