Power relay is located (somewhere) on the main PCB.

    Hi Martin,

I’ve pulled it all apart and unplugged the pcb on the front and to the side but it’s still the same. Any more suggestions?

……what about the relay, have you checked that?

I’m not sure what I’m looking for. I took the front panel off and disconnected the wires, took out the pcb but couldn’t see anything noticeable there. I then unplugged everything from the box inside the machine at the top right and took that out. I haven’t opened it up as it looked like there was just a pcb in there.

The relay is on that PCB so if you are into electronics then testing it should be your next move I would guess.

The photo you added is NOT the main PCB by the way.

    Hi Martin,

I can see signs of overheating on the circuit board. 🙁

    Re: Zanussi Washer/Dryer ZWD1680W – no lights/power

    Hi Martin,

The sticker on my pcb case reads:

    Type: P451510135 F6660
    Type E: 132156813
    SW Ver: W2C01551

I’ve found one for sale with the exact same numbers apart from it’s F60103 instead of F6660. Do you know if it will be compatible or not?

    Cheers,

    Nigel

I very much doubt it is compatible. Which PCB are you referring to by the way, so I can be sure we are singing from the same hymn sheet here?

It’s the one in a white case at the top right of the machine.

I doub’t the pcb is at fault here It’s more likely detecting a fault and pausing the program . Could be the anologic pressure switch or heater at fault if the motor is defo ok but then how did you check the motor as shining a torch on it won’t tell you anything!. Taking circuit board’s apart and proding about will no doub’t cause you more problem’s call an engineer and save some cash in the long run.

    Hi Martin,

A big thank you for all your help in narrowing down the problem. I sent the board off to this company who repaired it for £46. The washer/dryer is now like brand new.

If you’re ever near Haworth in Yorkshire, I’ll buy you a pint.

    Thanks again.
