Zanussi washer FJ1033 – door lock suspected problem

Any ideas on what could be wrong with a door switch on a Zanussi FJ1033 ?

The symptoms are that the door needed an increasingly firm push to get it going but now no amount of pushing will do it.

Any recommendations for replacement parts are appreciated and a broad idea of the extent of work or steps of dismantling needed. I’m a reasonably confident diy’er.

Is what you want.
Removal of door seal front lip allows sufficient access, don’t forget to put the little air pressure hose back on or you’ll be wondering where the water’s coming from on rinse…..
