ParticipantHi,
Door lock just opens near the end of main wash portion of cycle. Error code displayed is 16 – I think? (Start/Pause LED 1 x flash and End LED 6 x flashes). Is this a PCB fault or door lock or something else. Washer is situated in an outbuilding and has had it’s control PCB changed previously (not by me).
Thanks,

Can’t find a 16 but 61 would be heating stage not successful.

End of cycle indicates 1st digit, start/pause indicates 2nd digit=
E61, this can also be NTC fault, the NTC may not be registering a change in temperature. Earth fault is also common on these heaters or P.C.B could be at fault.January 5, 2011 at 12:15 pm #340146conormccleane

Thanks Seamy,
Will check ntc, what value should I see? When you say earth fault what does that mean?

Earth fault means current leakage to earth, in this case probably through the heating element. Best checked with a megger. Do a search (horizontal menu, just above where it says, “Post a reply” ) using that term. That should give you enough reading for about a week. Most especially read the sticky thread near the top of the General Trade Forum entitled, “Domestic Appliance testing.” And keep your head down now, before someone shoots at you 😉 .
The only case of E61 I ever came across was intermittent and a new 12v relay on the board sorted it. (Again, a search will help you there.) Oh, and another search for ntc test.

Thanks Mike,
Anyone know where the best (and quickest) place is to buy 12v relay and other components?
