Zanussi Washer W1042W No spin

Hi Folks

went to the above washer, it would tumble when set on spin then it appeared to start to spin then cut down to tumble again until it finally stepped on to end of cycle.
Checked the carbons which had plenty of meat on them, tacho looks ok and not loose,
any ideas please

Fairly common fault with this timer (AKO 513316). They suffer with no spin faults and ‘quick advance’ and ‘aborting cycle’ type problems.
EMW do these @ £39.90 + VAT. (New = £65 + VAT.) 😉

i would like to agree, i had a problem with the same machine it would only spin at slow spin it woudnt get up any speed i changed the motor it was still the same, i spoke to tony at emw who confirmed it is a common timer problem he sent me one tried it and it worked perfectly.
