ParticipantHi there,
I’m new here and don’t understand technical jargon but will give it a go (but go easy on me) 😉Zanussi washer dryer came up with with E20 error code.
Washing was inside but it was not draining.
I cleaned the filter and manually drained it and got out washing.I ordered a new pump motor (I think that’s what it is) from this website.
Installed it last night.
Tried it this morning…. Error code E20 appears again!Has anyone got any suggestions please 😀

Then chuck a bucket of water in it to confirm it pumps that lot out then. 💡

I put a wash on and it’s stopped showing the error message, I’ve had to manually take the water out via the fluff filter at the bottom ( there’s a bit left) but it just will not empty…. I’m looking at it now not knowing what to do next….

And if you do the bucket trick and set it on a Drain Only cycle?

RESULT!!!
Martin… Thanks for replying again!
Worked out the draining issue was the outlet hose/pipe. It was blocked.
But I could not remove it from under the sink where it was stuck (as when they fitted the kitchen, they installed it around the pipes that were already there! :-0
However, I unscrewed the hose/pipe from where it joined the sink outlet thingy, cleaned it with a bleach solution, and proceeded to blow down the pipe to unblock it.
Loads of whitish stuff and a massive hairball came out the other end! yuk!
Connected it all back together and ran a test rinse cycle (added bleach agin) and it appears to be working!
Will test again in the morning….August 7, 2014 at 3:21 pm #417519Carrie54

I got the same error message on my previous washing machine when it wouldn’t drain for me. One of those Colour Catcher Sheets had slipped through during the wash and caused the blockage. Hopefully you’ve sorted it out by now though.
