Zanussi washing machine bung – Urgent!

Got a Zanussi washing machine – ZWF1437W, 63600146, 914522201/01

Needed to fit new drum assembly and full assembly not available so have got parts as follows:

DST1321570408 Outer tub – back half
DST1320074303 Inner drum
ZAN1240159002 Drum/backplate gasket
DST1321446203 Door seal
DST50276843005 Outer tub – front half
DST1321020206 Wash element

Problem is the front half of the outer drum has a hole where the breather pipe from the soap drawer would normally be but this model doesn’t have this pipe – breathes to the door seal instead.

Does anyone know of a bung that fits this hole?

The recommended alternative for the front half of the outer tub we are using is the counterweight kit, DST50286079004, but this part in not available so we need to use what we have.

This is urgent so any help would be appreciated.

Its an open hole – water will come through when the machine is in use. A bung is needed.

Better to scrap the machine than lash it up which may cause a flood and damage your reputation.
If there is no official blanking bung listed by Zanussi then it is not worth the risk.

and can we ask why arent you using old front half of tub if its a split tub design???

check the pnc..i think u have the wrong elc code!

put the correct breather hose in it and bung the other hole up? the only problem you will have is the fact that it needs to breathe somewhere so the water level will be correct

while we are on the zanussi bung subject , i just done rear tub etc
but didnt receive the little bag with the bungs , now im needn bung and disc that fits in thermostat hole in rear tub ..

there was nothing in the box .. appliance all ready to go apart from missing bung

anyone got a part no . used to get a little bag with all things required ..

Its a RC approved job – the front tub we have is listed on CDSL as a spare for this model.

We’ve managed to get the machine written off now.

i wouldnt rely on what r/c system says fits , you best getting a tds disk … we had a mare with zanussi parts on r/c system ..

Yeah I know – we use TDS too but difficult to order some bits via RC as you know.
