I am struggling with this machine . The reported fault was , machine fills on a wash . It then does nothing , and the customer, an ex telecomms technician, obtained and fitted a new timer . the fault remains. Motor and pump work on a spin prog, Heater testsOK. I have sent the module to QER for test/repair . Comments/advice welcome please.

Funny blighters these – have had timer, module or both together quite regularly. EMW product very good though.

The solder joints for the motor relays on these boards burn around the pins ie no wash motor but may spin. You did not say if the jetsystem recirc. pump was running at all during the test.(but that may just be the pump jammed or failed, no particular probs if there is power to it) There will be silence without the motor turning as the board only impulses the timer motor occasinally making the timer seem like it’s dead. PCB board repair should solve it.
    Hope this helps!!!

Thanks for the replies so far . There are no visible dry joints on module . This machine has 2 pressure switches . The rear one seems to be the one used on wash . If I remove its pressure tube and fit a spare tube to the swich and blow it to the second level, the jetstream pump switches in .

One air tube feeds of the top of the sump hose, the other feeds from the filter housing – check the condition of both air tubes, check the air chamber on the top of the filter housing. Also check the sump hose for blockages.

When it fills up on a wash it needs a signal from both pressure switches, if it gets a signal from only one it will normally fill to the higher water level then stop dead.
