Zanussi Washing Machine IZ 161S not completing cycle

Hello,
I’m looking for help with a Zanussi Washing Machine IZ 161S recently (in the last 3 days) it’s has not been automatically completing it cycle. I load clothes as usual, select a regular programme, the drum fills with water, the jetsystem is activated and then programme stalls at WASH. (indicated by the programme phase indicator LED lights)
The machine only starts to work once we have manually skipped the programme to SPIN (by pressing the SKIP/RESET button)

It works the spin cycle then hangs at the 3 minute DRAIN stage as indicated on the display. (again we have to press the SKIP/RESET button to end the programme and unlock the door. The end result is our clothes are not properly washed.

There does not apper to to a blockage in the inlet hose (as the drum fills), in the outlet hose (as the drum empties in SPIN cycle) and the pump filter is clear.

Please help!

Curious one.. My first thought was something is amiss with the water level control system – stalling on wash can be no heat – if machine thinks it’s not full, it won’t heat. By the same token, if it thinks that it is full, it won’t spin. However, these conditions should throw up an error code (E–) to alert you to the fault.

This suggests that there is a logic fault, which, I’m afraid, points to the computer board. I’d suggest pro help – it could prove to be an expensive mistake if my diagnosis is incorrect and that all other components have not been checked out.

Thanks, I suspected it was a ‘mental’ rather than ‘physical’ problem, will follow up with the engineer.
