I have just had this WM installed, last Thursday, but it already is giving us problems. When it does a spin it starts ‘Rocking and Rolling’ and ‘Walking Out’ from its location. The problem is its damaging the new kitchen units next to it.
I have tested it doing the same wash load on Spin Speeds of 1200, 900 and 700 and I think it may be just marginally worse on 700 revs. I have also checked that the WM is level using a spirit level or bubble level and its perfect. The WM rests on ceramic tiles.
The installer has checked that the three securing bolts have been removed. Although it doesn’t make holes in our clothes it worse than the machine it replaced.
Has anyone any ideas as to what could be causing these problems?

Have the polystyrene packing pieces been removed from the sides of the drum? Tip the machine back and see if there are two polythene bag ends hanging down.

Bingo-I have removed the polystyrene pieces. I didn’t know they were there as we have no instructions(or Warranties) for anything in what has been a New Kitchen Fit.
There has been an improvement in the WM’s performance and the extreme movement has gone.
I have only tested it on the 1200 revs(Which we will not use when we use the WM) but it still does not perform as smoothly as I would have expected. Is there any possibility that having used the WM with the polystyrene in place could have could have cause any damage??

    hi

its unlikley to have damaged the machine

i would check to see if the sides have been dented or if it has damaged any of the kitchen units just in case

i would also let the fitters know what happened so they can get it right next time
