Zanussi Washing Machine ZWI71201WA – issue with start button

I have an issue with the start button.

I press start button and the machine starts its cycle for about a minute but then stops. Once it stops, the door light and start button start flashing. The funny thing is, if I then press start again, the cycle begins fine.

Has anyone else come across this and might have the answer?

It might be that the sump hose and water level system are a tad sludged up. When was the last time you checked the drain filter?

It was checked a week ago when I had a new dryer board fitted.
Its a strange issue that my engineer is even having problems solving.
