Hi I have a dead Zanussi ZWT71401WA which needs a another new PCB, I changed the first one 7 months ago. I disconnected the dryer heater about 5 months ago after a call back. Today I disconnected the wash heater and motor to check they weren’t causing problems.
Is there anything else that causes this?
And what causes them to fail?
    Thanks, Darren

open pcb and check the fusible resistor on the board. normally a large resistor with a value of 47 ohms or so.

    if you look here https://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/forums/forum/trade-member-forums/trade-technical-spare-parts-forums/trade-technical-enquiries/48638-simple-pcb-repair-tips

you will find some post that reference this along with the power supply integrated circuit

cause can be spikes on the mains supply which blow the chip. can be caused by lots of thing including bad house wiring. if you feel confident take the socket off the wall and check the terminals are tight and have not been arcing
