    Hi. I hope you can help. My Zanussi WDJ1285/A washer/dryer blows the electricity when I switch it on. I have tried changing the fuse but they still work in other plugs. I have tried it on every cycle but it still blows.

    Stop trying it – you could do real damage! The door lock will almost certainly be the culprit, they wear out over time and break down inside.

    An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk with your model number will get things moving for you if you wish to do this yourself. If not, please use the repairs link below for a UKW engineer in your area.

    Power off, if investigating.
