Zanussi WJD 1257 W E10 error, dryer problem

Hi there,

I’ve got a problem with my Zanussi WJD 1257 W.

The wash cycle is working fine, but when it switches to dryer, or if I try to dry manually, I get an E10 error. According to the manual E10 relates to a problem with the water supply. From what I can gather, neither the air heater or fan are kicking in. The digital countdown timer does not begin to countdown.

The external water supply and drain are functioning correctly. From reading other posts here and elsewhere, I suspected, and hoped, that the water supply valves would be faulty, specifically the green one. Upon removal, there is no continuity across each set of terminals, i.e. readout stays at 1, which I assume is an open circuit. My understanding is that if the solenoid was faulty, I would get continuity and a closed circuit. Is it possible for the the solenoid to test as OK as described, but still function incorrectly? If the solenoids ARE ok, where do I go from here?

Any thoughts or advice are most welcome.
