ParticipantI attended this washer dryer because the client says it was hot but clothes was damp. Found condenser was blocked, cleaned it out and refitted.
Turned the machine on, all appears to work. At one point it started the wash at 59 mins then went to 1 min to drain out. This happened when I was leaning over to inspect the rear and I assumed I may have pressed the button when I leant over. I explained this to the client and asked her to call me if it is a problem,
She called this morning to say that it washes well, dried well then on second load, it started 59 mins then 1 min to drain out. All lights were on and could not get it to respond. I am not aware of an error code otherwise she would have mentioned it. She’s very observant. Half an hour later, she phoned to say that the machine is working. (I thought it could be a leak somewhere but this fault is not clear cut)
I am rather puzzled. I think she wants me to pop round to reassure her, but I haven’t a clue where to start. I could check for loose connections but this washer dryer is jam packed and it’s hard to work on without taking the rear end off.

From what you tell us I guess you haven’t interrogated the diagnostics? That would at least throw up the last error code detected.
Clearly it senses an error so you’d best check both heaters for low insulation, motor brushes, pump and all that good zanussi stuff.

I interoggated the client, it turned out that the washing was fine and dryer was fine just the odd blip.
I proceeded to explore the odd blip and it turned out the dryer element has low insulation. I didn’t pick it up when I tested it after I turned the appliance on for functional checks. It must have happened after I left the property.

Your interrogation methods may need some refinement. Your club looks a bit blunt. Try a few nails in it. 😆

I’ve moved on with the modern times, you know! I simply use water-boarding method, very effective I must say.
Seriously, the client is the nicest type and very helpful as well observant. I couldn’t ask for a better one.
