    Same problem with both these machines – dryer motor does not start- motor o.k. – does the analogue pressure switch have any thing to do with this or am I barking up the wrong tree – no click when blowing up p/s

    Thanks Franz

    does the fan come on in the diagnostic step 8?
    The analogue pressure switch does play a part in the customer cycle. it’s used to make sure the machine is taking in water. Customer starts cycle, inlet valve comes on and slowly starts to fill appliance. analogue switch see’s the water level rise and turns on the fan, elements and drain pump. this can take upto 5 minutes depending on water pressure.
    If you are testing using the diagnostic step 8, it bypasses the protocol explained above. The fan, valve, elements and pump come on and the display will show the temprature of the ntc on the duct and the ntc on the condenser hose.

    Is there any faults codes in the memory? (diagnostic step 9)
    E12 = Problems with water fill on dry
    E31 = Analogic (electronic) pressure switch circuit faulty
    E32 = Incorrect calibration of analogic (electronic) pressure
    switch
    E33 = Incongruency between level of analogic (electronic)
    pressure switch and level of anti-boiling pressure
    switch 1
    E34 = Incongruency between level of electronic pressure
    switch and level of anti-boiling pressure switch 2
    E38 = Pressure chamber blocked

    DO NOT BLOW UP THE ANALOGUE PRESSURE SWITCH. THIS WILL DAMAGE IT! It works on frequency (hence analogue). it has a ferrite core which moves up and down inside a coil. as the core moves up and down the frequency changes and is relayed back to the main board.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks mate – turned out to be dodgy dryer water valves on both machines – intermittantly working – now sorted
