My zanussi WJS 1265 just stopped before spinning two days ago – displayed correct minutes left and green light above pause started flashing as though it thought it was on pause – wouldnt respond to anything to complete cycle – just thought for 30 secs and then back to pause. No error messgaes displayed.
Thought it might be something to do with drainage issues – cleaned out filter and looked on this site. Husband then had a look at the pumps underneath and cleaned out more piping.
Tried again with spin bit only – went down through minutes from 3 but never span or drained and stopped at 1 min and went into pause with green light flashing. Switched off for some time and tried again with complete wash, no load. Got to first draining point – stopped and started flashing into pause.
Switched off overnight – now it wont even fill – it immediately starts with the green light over pause flashing and wont start anything, wont fill or make any attempt to do so – just flashes away.
Any ideas? – its about 5/6 years old – we have replaced the three way valve on the top earlier this year following advice on this site and that worked a treat to get the thing drying again. Is it terminal this time – or likely to be so expensive it might as well be? Are there any great repairmen out there in the BN14 region who help with repairs for a fair price if this is a complicated bit? Husband is an engineer so good with mechanical/electrical things, but obviously no expert on washing machines!
