zanussi wjs1265 w washer dryer playing up

Hi – wonder if you can help with this problem?

The machine is around 3 years old and I’m getting a recuring problem, the front lights go out and the machine stops working.

Following some advice I was given I took the top off and reseated a bundle of connectors that plug into a set of contacts behind the on off switch. THis cured the problem temporarily but it soon came back. I have had to repeat this many times over the past months and it’s becoming a right pain in the butt. Any thoughts how I can permanently cure the problem myself without calling out Zanussi?

Sounds like the ribbon cable between the 2 control modules may need replacing? Best left to the experts in all honesty.

THanks for that Mike, unfortunately there are no repairers listed for my postcode.

BY the way – are you a repairer? You don’t cover the SW corner of Surrey bordering onto Hants do you ??!

No sorry I don’t go that far. There is a guy in Kingston that is registered on this site but again if he hasn’t registered on Repairs@ then you best call out these guys:-
