My six year old machine (after heavy use) is now showing signs of bearing wear – loud whine when spinning. I’m trying to find the bearings and seals I need to fix this but the model is rarley listed on the usual parts web sites. Any help on part numbers / stockists would be appreciated. Also do I need a special tool to pull the bearings out?

I’m also intending to replace the drum seal at the same time, are there any other parts that would be sensible to change at the same time?

Many thanks for a great forum

E’mail Dave at spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk and he will find the correct bearings and seals for you. The best thing to do is to dismantle the machine first, check over all the parts and then order what’s required. That will also prove the machine is worth fixing before you spend anything. Also check the motor for worn bearings as these can shriek like a banshee when worn. A replacement motor is not cheap when added to bearings and seals. 😉

Power off and unplug before any investigation. :plug:

    Hope that helps,

    Steve.

    Many thanks Steve,

I’ve had another look at my machine – I disconnected the drive belt from the motor and spun the drum by hand, I can definately hear the bearings growl. The rest of the machine seems fine though so I’ll see if Dave can help me with the bits I need.
