Z1000s Washer, last of those with Mechanical Timer
Well, 1985 from Currys to date with just one fault is not bad.
Last fault a year ago was drum failed to drain and spin. Found due to be build up of dry soap in drain pipe, so easy repair.
Now, weekly wash had timer stay put, but water filling of drum started, but sitting at same position hours later. When dial pushed in then rotated to other sequential stages and pulled to turn on, pumps drum dry but drum does not seem to spin or timer progress.
Would have assumed timer but appreciate from paper wiring diagram inside therae are many interactive cut outs.
Too old to repair and parts hard to come by ? Careful as could be said of us engineers one day !!!!
Find timer listed around £160 but, noting the intense wiring loom of contacts around, would be shame to replace if fault elsewhere. Even then, would be happy to replace it’s stepping motor if could find but assume not normally repaied down to this level. Thanks for any guidance. 😆 😆
