Hi
Fitted new cerramic hotplate to this cooker (the old one was definitely faulty, burnt out), but it now stays on all the time as soon as the cooker is switched on at the wall socket. Have changed the regulator but still the same. Could this be a fault in the new hotplate itself ?
Before I order a new one and send this back I would like to know if it is a known fault that any one has had before
Unlikely to be a fault with the hotplate as it shouldn’t have a supply to it when its not switched on, more likely incorrectly wired or faulty regulator. Multimeter should tell you if theres a supply to it & where its coming from. Check wiring to hob hot switch wasn’t put on wrong place.
