zanussi zcg7690xn gas cooker

got called out to the above appliance customer stated there was no ignition,plugged in appliance and set timer and the ignition started clicking,turned on oven and it lit and the clicking stopped but when i turn the oven off the clicking starts again,i am thinking the microswitch on the oven knob,any thoughts appreciated, 8)

is it a genuine call or has someone been fiddling with the ignition/reignition unit wiring, the micro is just a simple switch and can be checked with a multimeter.

genuine,customer has said they have not touched it.

check the micro first then it has to be the ignition unit.
