Zanussi ZCM930x (Product 941309678 ) Door Assembly Query

Customer snapped the hinge on this oven door, as it snapped the outer door glass smashed and the inner was also damaged. Ordered the outer door glass assembly, inner door & hinges ex Connect which duly arrived.

The complete oven door is triple glazed with the “middle glass” bonded to the inside of the inner door. The replacement inner door doesn’t have the glass either included or bonded to it. Is the idea to debond the existing middle glass and rebond this to the new inner door ???

The outer door glass is a similar affair with the top and bottom stainless cappings not supplied. Again is the idea to debond the broken glass from the stainless cappings and rebond them in place ??

If anyone with info or experience on this model could help, I really would appreciate it as it seems a really unusual way to go about things.

ps Have double checked part numbers and they seem to be correct and the complete door isn’t listed.

Thanks for that Cab, I thought I wa going crackers !!!!

It goes back to rip off parts prices – £50 for the outer glass, £30 odd quid for the top stainless strip, £30 odd quid for the the bottom stainless strip, God knows how much for the intermediate glass, then there is the inner door, the two hinges, spacers and a handle!! Then there is time and work bonding it all together plus the cost of the ambersil

It probably would have been cheaper to buy a new budget range cooker but the owner wants it fixing.

Still seems strange to me, every other glass oven door I’ve worked on comes ready bonded where it is necessary.

yep I hadnt counted the spacers handle etc.
