Zanussi ZDC37100W Condeser Dryer

Morning all!

My so far trusty dryer has stopped working. Fault is hard to describe, but essentially the drum won’t turn and there is no heat. We hear a slight electrical hum for a short while when turned on which then stops.

Would you be able to help me with first step diagnostics?

My first thoughts before opening the machine are belt, capacitor, thermostat.

Any suggestions welcome.

might be belt or cap

if its the cap (or the motor) if you give the drum a push it will run
