Error code indicates pump problems. Accessing diagnostics throws up an E21 error (Pump triac – board faulty). I found the pump was in fact jammed with hair, cleared it but I’m unable to clear the error code. Presumably because the triac has failed on the board?

Did’nt have chance to remove and inspect control panel as customer had to shoot off to work. So I concluded it was likely to be both the pump AND module that needed replacing to sort it. Trouble is that now I have since discovered the price of that module which, coupled to the fact no-one stocks it, the whole job would be BER.

My questions, has anyone had experience of this fault before, could that triac have blown due to a jammed pump?

    Any thoughts much appreciated..!

yes i’ve seen this before on zanussi but more often on hoover.if you have a copy of tds disks then the repair is shown in great detail pointing out the offending component which can be replaced.
however must point out that soldering in a new triac has failed to cure it a couple of times.

E23 is normally the triac fault code, E21 normally just blocked pump, faulty pump etc

There’s no E23 listed on this models tech info but I catch the general drift and thanks guys in at least confirming my diagnostics here.

Pump plus board = Throw the lot in the skip. :rolls:
