ParticipantHi,
I have a built in Zanussi ZDF290X double oven where the main overn isn’t warming up. The internal light comes on and the fan starts. However, the light on the outside to indicate the oven is warming up does not come on at all.
We have to cook Christmas dinner in a couple of days time, so hoping I can just replace the heating element. I found this one here:

However, my question is, is this going to resolve the problem? I appreciate its hard to say without seeing the oven 🙂 but I’m not sure if the warming up indicator not coming on indicates another issue? Maybe with the thermostat – I assume there is one 🙂 If the heating element was broken I’d expect the warming up indicator would be on constantly. But I don’t know anything about ovens.
Does anyone have any comment/expert advice?
Many thanks in advance for your help.

If the fan is working then the thermostat should be ok.
The most common fault would be the element.
It may be just a neon fault if the the light is not working but it is hard to know what the fault is without testing it.

Thanks Bob. The quick response is much appreciated.
There is a label on the oven that says it is 5-5.5Kw, the element that I found on eSpares says it is 2.5Kw. I cannot find a 5Kw version. Does the oven only say 5Kw because there are two parts to it?
Thanks
Andy

The element won’t be 5kw.

The link you have to E spares is correct it is a round 2.5kw element.
Also try the WTA shop it might be cheaper.
