ParticipantHi.
My Zanussi ZDT 311 (911 535 007 06) sometimes stops during the washing process and gives an alarm consisting of 6 beeps and 6 blinks on the finish indicator.
Initially everything appears to be ok.
It is filling, draining, heating etc.
Sometimes it can run fine , other times it faults as described above.
It is more likely to finish without error when low temperature washing cycle is used. (Ie. 45°C Glas-wash)The manual only shows what fault codes of 1, 2 and 3 beeps means.
Any assistance on what the fault code means and things i should check/replace would be very appreciated.

Ok.
Thank you for the quick reply!
The water is heating.
Even to the point that I can hear something i suspect to be the water boiling inside the machine. This boiling like sound even comes at the low temperature programs, where temperature should only be 45°C.
When the alarm goes off there is freakishly hot steam coming out of the machine!
So maybe I should try to replace the temperature sensor then?
If anyone has any other insights or things I should check, suggestions are very welcome.

well that might be it
How can you hear it heating ?
when a dishwasher is on the motor should be running so that drowns out the noise of the heater. if you have no motor then the heater will overheat. but i would have expected another error code

Thanks again Dave.
I cannot hear it heating, but the water gets (very) hot at least. When the dishwasher stops at the 6 beep signal and I open the door there is a lot of hot steam coming out of the machine. I guess this normaly happens like 30-60 minutes into the washing cycle.
Regarding the sound, at sometime after the 2nd cleaning cycle and before drain-pump starts there is no motor running. At that point you can hear sound from the bottom of the dishwasher, and the sounds are very similar to water boiling.
I plan to order spare parts this evening and then try to replace.
Would you recommend that I start with temperature sensor or the heater element?

10 Degrees 9655 ohms
25 Degrees 4850 ohms
60 Degrees 1205 ohms
90 Degrees 445 ohmslist of resistance measurements for the ntc when disconnected
if it boiling a would expect it to read higher than spec

Hi.
I have disconnected the sensor and tested it with known temperatures above and the resistance values on terminal 3 and 4 seems to match the above.
Do you have any more tips for me regarding things to check?

Heater element reads 26? , which should equal to 2000W as rated.

Thanks for Therese tip. Wiring checked out ok.
I replaced the temperature sensor, but it did not help.As this is in our cabin I have not been able to troubleshoot for some time.
New symptom is that the dishwasher does not heat. And it no longer gives an alarm. But since the water does not heat, it does not clean.
The element checks out ok, but the voltage on the pins reads 50V at max during a washing cycle. This is with the heating element disconnected. Any tips on what to check next? What needs to be “ok” to give the heating element power but wont hive an alarm?

with the element ok then check wiring to board and look for bad solder joint on the relay that controls the heater

Thanks for all the great advises Dave.
I opened the control box, and the relay looks burnt. See attached. Could the relay be the cause of all the symptoms above? (Both waterting to hot and water not heating at all)
I mean, is there any point in replacing the relay. Or will I probably be back to the point where the water just gets til hot?
Its difficult to get a new dishwasher to the location, so if its possible to fix that is preferable. But I guess I have to give up at some point as well and just buy a new one.

Absolutely looks well wrecked
It could stick either way. Sticking closed will overheat and open stops it heating
These relays are really cheap so
Change it and see from there
