    Hi,

We have. Built in zanussi zdt12011fa

Had nothing but problems with this machine since moving into our house. The machine hasnt been washing dishes properly for a couple of days now and i finally found out that its not heating water i thought id open it mid cycle and it was cold. Im more than prepaired for a bit of diy and am an electrician by trade so testing things isnt a problem ive just got no idea what im lookin at!

Is there anything i can do to fix this? Could really do without calling someone out to look at it after just buying the house!

the dishwasher completes programs as normal it just doesn’t heat the water 🙁

    Please help!

    Steve

was hoping for a reply but obviously everyones as stumped as me!

spent all last night going over this contraption from hell removed the circuit boards and checked all the joints etc etc and found nothing wrong

After trawling zanussis parts list for the heater I found out that its actually “built into” the circulation pump and is listed on their site as “circulation pump, heater combined” and they expect you to pay a princely £189 for it [the same machine new is £300??!!!] so safe to say ill be using this one for target practice and purchasing a new [non Zanussi] machine with a nice warranty!

Be sure not to replace it with Bosch or Neff then as they too are total garbage using a similar heat/pump combined system doomed to fail after a year or three.

Just remember to use salt in a very hard or medium hard water area. Very very important trade tip. 😉
