So the dishwasher washes continuously. It will sometimes heat but it’s hit and miss.

tested the heater got continuity on that and >2000Mohms insulation resistance.

so first off I replaced the turbidity/ thermistor sensor in the sump of the dishwasher thinking it is likely this faulty. This did not fix the fault. I’ve tested the motor tacho for continuity and there is and it does output different voltages when I turn the motor.

Then I ordered a new PCB from Zanussi fitted it and same problem.

All wiring is ok with continuity on both ends. Is there anything else this is likely to be?

think I would try changing the tacho in case it goes open occasionally

its a cheap part so not got a lot to lose and it is a most common cause of no heat

As Dave says. Try it on a quick wash and see if it heats then (tacho only affects full wash)

Thanks for the advice, as Dave said tacho strangely appeared to be going open circuit after it had been running for a bit. New tacho fitted and all seems ok at the moment.
