I have a Zanussi ZDT6053 integrated dishwasher. It was here when I moved in and I think it is about 10 years old. A few days ago, i put it on overnight. In the morning the cycle had finished but it was still running in “Drain” mode all night.

Whenever I start a cycle, the dishwasher begins with drain mode and does not stop even once the water is cleared from the bottom of the dishwasher. Water drains easily if I add it. Filters are all clean.

I took the kickboard off and the metal cover behind it and looked in the plastic sump tray and it was full of water. I drained the water out with a sponge and now a cycle starts. However, I can see a drip of water towards the back-right of the dishwasher. I think I now need to take out the dishwasher and locate the source of the leak. But I have no idea how to get the dishwasher out and if it’s possible to get in there without removing it, that would be a much smaller job.

What is the most likely source of the leak? Will it be cheap to fix or is it better to just get a new dishwasher?

undo screws at the top holding it to the work surface

lower front legs by screwing them up

lower rear leg with the screw under the tray in the middle at the bottom

after that pull out slowly watching out got the flex, waster inlet hose and drain hose which may have to be disconnected to get it out
