ParticipantHi All,
Wonder if you can help. Dishwasher has been fine and suddenly the flood protection has kicked in. Removed the filter to find alot of debris had found it’s way around the filter and a bayleaf was blocking one of the holes :rolls:
How can i reset the machine as it’s still in this flood protection mode?
Thanks

ROGUE,
Thanks. Am i right in thinking that debris blocking the drain plug may have caused the anti flood device to kick in?…..as there quite clearly was a large bayleaf blocking one of the drainage holes.
Hopefully i should be able to drain the base and it’ll be back to normal?

Does anyone have any hints, tips, write ups / pictures as to how to drain this machine effectively? and get to the anti flood sensor?

Info given is basically correct. Tip it to drain it. The flood protection is a polystyrene float working a microswitch – get rid of the water and it will re-set.
THIS is an explanation of how the water level control works – yours is the IWMS system.
Plenty of other places it can leak from – covers off and a torch is about the only way.

Update
Rather than remove the machine as it’s integrated i simply removed the lower front plate (8 philips screws). The drip tray can then be lowered at the front and the water mopped / syringed out (yes mine was full)
With the water drained, the machine sprung back into life 😀
I ran three full cycles and no leak was apparent – the drip tray was bone dry after these three cycles so i can only assume this bayleaf that obstructed a drainage hole was to blame or the drip tray had filled over a period of the last year or so.
I’ll keep monitoring it but at the moment it’s all looking good and was a five minute job to do with moving the appliance 🙂

Hello! Yes I had the same problem. So I duly took the front panel off and mopped up the water. (Why is the water here in the first place? Will it come back?)
In trying to solve this issue I irritatingly took out the panel inside the dishwasher (see pic). On replacing it , it doesn’t sit quite perfectly like it used to. Any suggestions? The screws are all back where they came from so I don’t understand what’s gone wrong.
Thanks, tom.
