Hi all,

Bit of a problem with my fridge, it is room temperature. Freezers fine. If I switch it off for a day or so then switch back on it will cool down but only for about 2 days then go room temp again.

Thermostat? Hope so because I’ve just ordered one!

Hi Rob,

Sadly it’s probably not the stat.

I’m not familiar with the model but it sounds like the compressor overheating and cutting out on the face of it, but it’s really hard to remotely diagnose these sorts of problems.

Yep it is Helo, you are correct. I’m in the office so can check it now.

Its all too possible that it’s that that’s causing the problem.

Oh dear thats not good to hear!

Well now I have the thermostat i’ll have a go at fitting it anyway. Problem is where does it go?

Ive stripped the back of the freezer out (behind the draws) and cant see anything?

Any suggestions?

Looking at it I don’t think it is the problem. Its the adjustable one that goes in the top that you turn with a penny. part number 226 21 99-11/6
